Thoughts

A middle-aged white man, sitting on a cushion placed atop an upside-down bucket, surrounded by dense green trees and a majestic fountain, plays the piano vividly in the middle of a busy plaza. The scene resembles a very famous street in Barcelona, called 'La Rambla' on a peak summer's day.  Individuals from different ethnicities pass by, but they seem indifferent towards the pianist.    A taste of nostalgia. This oil-painting-like photograph reminds me of a traditional eastern European kitchen table, where grandma would prepare the most tasty pastry. Cheese, to enjoy it with a slice of hearty brown bread, sweet honey for flavoring it along with a herbal infusion-- Cream cheese, milk and eggs, a delish beyond words. Yet, amidst this beautiful memory lies a bittersweet reality, as it fades away with the conclusion of this text.
